Handmade BBQ Knives, a Canadian Tradition

It’s spring! And in Canada there is no more sure sign of spring’s arrival than Canadians cleaning their outdoor grills and firing them up. It’s a more certain sign of spring in Canada than the arrival of robins!

Spring is here!

Canadians love their outdoor grills. After sitting inside during our long dark winters, once the good weather comes we can’t wait to get outside and fire up the BBQ. So what could be more Canadian than a handmade BBQ knife?

Handmade BBQ knife

Like all my handmade knives, this BBQ knife is made with all Canadian and US materials. I used only the best 440c stainless steel milled here in North America – that way I can control the quality. Every step of the process is done by hand right here in our shop, located in Brantford Ontario Canada.

The blade is anywhere from 8 to 9 inches with a 5 inch handle. The stainless steel bolster gives this robust knife an extra touch of class. The black handle scales are micarta, and used on a full tang construction. Full tang handles make the strongest, toughest handles available in knives.

The knife pictured above was recently made to order for a customer. It has a 8.25″ blade with a large 5.25″ handle. The spine is a robust 3/32″ thick. With a robust, sharp cutting edge and large heavy blade this knife is a nice combination of chopper and slicer. It will make short work of your BBQ ribs and brisket.

The 8.25″ blade is 2″ wide, with stainless steel bolsters and full tang handle construction.
