I’ve been making knives since 2016. I’ve always loved art and the creative process, and I was inspired to make knives because I wanted to make useful tools for the home and kitchen that are also works of art.
I believe knives should be beautiful as well as a pleasure to use. Each knife is original, individually handcrafted one at a time, that will make for a unique and very special gift for the foody in your life, or maybe even for yourself!
Functional works of art for the kitchen
I try to make knives that are artistic, without losing any of their functional purpose in the kitchen. Each one is carefully made one at a time. I don’t use jigs, CNC machines, molds or forms. That means each knife is unique – no two knives will be exactly the same.
I make my blades from reclaimed high carbon truck spring steel or 440c stainless steel produced in Canada and the USA. With few exceptions, our knives are built with a full tang handle for optimal strength. Full tang means the steel extends through the entire handle, as opposed to a partial or hidden tang. I use Canadian hardwood and Micarta for the handle grips.
We have a beautiful line of custom chef’s knives, carving knives, paring knives, veggie choppers, cheese knives, and BBQ knives, entirely handmade in Canada using only Canadian and US steel. That’s our guarantee. Feel free to browse our collection.
